New hair cut.

Here is Dads new hair due. I think he is looking pretty good. We think he looks more like Vin Diesel then mister clean. He's sad to lose the hair but is being a good sport about it. The hair hung in there all the way until the 2nd chemo treatment. Our family and friends are his greatest joy and we've been very blessed so far with his health and the support he and my mom have been given. Thanks!

And here is poor michelle with her broken wrist. For details see her Blog. She's a trooper though and we had alot of fun!

Happy and Hopeful

So Jake and I just celebrated our 3 year anniversary a couple weeks ago and were able to go to a fancy dinner because we recieved a gift certificate. We had some amazing steak(the best part for Jake), sweet potato casserole, shoestring potatoes, and a complimentary chocolate suffle and creme with fresh berries (the best part for me). Also my Dad went in for an emergency surgery and ended up finding out it was caused by a large B cell lymphoma tumor. The news was quite a suprise to our family and its been scary while we wait for all the testing and answers to questions. The prognosis is very positive though and we are all very hopeful. This type of cancer is very treatable and even cureable with chemotherapy. We are very blessed to have such a faitful and supportive family. Also my family has recieved many meals and services from those in their ward and neighborhood. Thank you to all and keep him in your prayers.

Lyndi FUN

She has had fun in our ward play group. Sometimes sharing can be hard but they all do pretty well together and it gives us moms something fun to do with the kids and together. We also got to go to the Gateway fountains and she loved that. Then the last two are bubble fun and we got some pictures done with our friends mom and I'm so excited to see how they turn out!

Going away party

We had a fun going away party in the beggining of this month for My brother and his wife (Tyler- 22yrs and Kiley) and my other brother Ryan-20yrs. They all left to go do summer sales and my other brother (Braden-18yrs) and some friends will bejoining them in Chicago soon after graduation. We had food, friends and Rockband... what more could you ask for? We miss them and wish them luck!

Family and fashion

Me and Emi being silly

These pics are leading up to and from the fashion show me and Emily did for my sister amber who is in beauty school. We put some red in my hair so the first one isthe dying process, the next one is the day of before hair, makeup, and clothes. Then the last two is the finished product. The best part about all of it was that we got our, hair cut, colored, and styled, and our makeup and nails done all for free.

Random fun-ness

This is how we set the table for Braden's prom group, it turned out really cute. The next pic is all of girls that put it all together. The next one is Lyndi in the bike trailer, she kept saying "Nini FUN! Mommy fun?" Then the last two are of her at my friend's fiesta. The hat was bigger than her... so cute. She also tried to ride the pinata before she found out you were supposed to hit it and then candy comes out. She was super excited when the candy started coming.

Papas and Ni-ni

Grandpa Mac had fun indulging Lyndi's need for sugar with a can of whip cream. SHe just kept saying "More Nini, papa! Nini more!"

She discovered the awkwardness of chestesess (that is what they call them in the mac fam from one of the cousins calling them that when she was younger). Also she and Papa Prince relaxed after a hard days work out in the yard.

I hope you can read this. It is the instruction label on one of those quarter merry go round kids rides and it was clear that it was made in another country with the funny translation and wording. I love it!

Jake woke up with Lyndi this morning and made me breakfast in bed. For those of you who have never had this meal, we call it monkey eyes. Its a piece of bread and you usually punch a circle hole in the middle and cook the egg in the middle. Jake did cute star and heart shapes though. Then you put jam on top. I love my sweet husband. Happy mothers day to all you cute moms out there!

This is her sad face. her new favorite game is to say "Nini sad" and then pull this face and then when you ask her whats wrong she smiles and says Nini happy. She always refers to herself in third person.

Happy Birthday to my cute sister Emily! She turned 16 today and we had a fun lunch with all the girls. She just found out she has diabetes and she missed being old enough for prom by 3 days and she is still one of the cutest most positive people I know. Our birthdays are two days apart and we've always been close. I just love her and want her to know I'm proud of her and I'm so glad she was born.

The Ball

Jake took me to his Law School Barrister's Ball. I had a blast and we danced so hard we were crazy sore the next morning. Jakey was cute and even asked me like in high school so I answered him in a fun way. Then he went with me and helped me pick out my outfit. Most every one was wearing black party dresses cause it was semi formal but this was what we found. Definitely different than my usual dress apparel but it was fun. I only wish I could have captured some of Jake's sweet dance moves on film to show you guys. We really need to get out more cause wow!

Emergency Preparation

I know this is a really boring subject line and alot of us feel like its unimportant but I am finaly getting started and for those who are doing it here is a cheap idea. So my mom and dad went up to the cabin for conference and I wasn't able to go but I did get to go with my Mother and sister in law to their family get together and we had a little emergency preparation class. One of the things we made were little home made heaters. You buy one of those small little paint cans, cheap toilet paper, 77% rubbing alcohol, a lighter and duct tape. Put the roll of toilet paper in the can and fill it until the roll is saturated and almost submerged in the alcohol, then seal the lid down by pounding it with a rubber mallet and duct tape the lighter and a coin (to open can) to the can and you have a 12 hour heater. You can use it for a while and then seal it back up and use it more later too. The top pic gives a good idea of what they look like and the bottom pic is my sister in law Angie ("drinking the alcohol") and Becca my cousin. Anywho -pretty cool and cheap. Just thought I'd pass that one on.

So today I was feeling really sick and Lyndi had way too much energy so we did chalk drawings outside and she loved it. chalk is good cause it washes out. She has marked up clothes, carpet, walls and her skin with all sorts of markers pens and high lighters. She is fast too cause she knows I'll take them away as soon as I see her.
